Comic for January 3, 2006:

January 3, 2006 - "It's funny. Don't ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody." Alright, since this will be my last Epilogue newspost, I need to get in everything I've been forgetting to mention in the past few newsposts... As some of you already know, I recently did a 24-hour marathon of SketchBattles, along with FlamingKinkos over at the forums of SketchBattle. The results can be found here. And speaking of FlamingKinkos, he's got an awesome new comic called All Signs Point to Yes over at aspty.com. The characters and concept are incredibly unique, and the humor is very Douglas Adams-esque. And now, all that sappy series-finale sort of stuff... It's been an awesome year for the Epilogue, even though I often disappeared without updates for lengthy amounts of time. Unfortunately, as time passed, I sort of ran out of ideas that were genuinely funny, without being too obscure or too forumlaic. And also ran out of the motivation to do something humorous at times. I guarantee, though, I will probably get a few more idea for the Epilogue characters in the future, and if this happens, I may still use them as bonus comics in the future. Anyhow, I'd just like to thank everyone who's read, linked, and/or supported the Epilogue this past year. Especially just those small little emails saying you like it. It really works as motivation when you're not feeling like drawing or writing anything at all. You guys have been awesome, and I hope you'll like my future project as well (though I'm afraid it won't have quite the same literary-geek-appeal as the Epilogue has had). I plan on leaving the Epilogue archives up here for a while, but should they ever get taken down, there will be a .zip file of them from my new site. And, as I've been mentioning in the past few newsposts, I'm not fading away from the webcomics scene by any means. My new comic, Synchronism, will be up any day now, and will be found at synch.toefur.com. Responses have been positive thus far, and on top of everything, there's actually going to be a regular update schedule (new issues up every monday). It's going to be an experimental comic of sorts, but that's all I'm saying for now. :) Thanks again, everyone, and now I leave you with the dying words of Henry David Thoreau. "Moose . . . Indian . . ." -Reva-
